SCHUNK EGP 40 Electric Parallel Gripper
Part number SCH-EGP-40 · Parallel Precision
The SCHUNK EGP 40 is a compact electric two finger parallel gripper designed for high precision handling of small components in assembly and automation. It is actuated by a brushless DC servomotor via a rack and pinion principle, delivering gripping forces from 35 to 140 N with a stroke of 6 mm per jaw. Integrated controller electronics and a 24 V DC supply keep wiring simple, with a two digital input interface for open and close control. Opening and closing each take just 0.2 seconds with a repeat accuracy of 0.02 mm for consistent placement, and the lightweight aluminum housing weighs only 0.32 kg and qualifies for ISO cleanroom class 5. Typical use cases include small parts pick and place on collaborative and industrial robot arms, PCB handling, and assembly line integration.
