The Robotiq EPick is a self-contained electric vacuum gripper that generates suction with a built-in electric pump and requires no external compressed air supply. It is available in 1-cup, 2-cup, and 4-cup configurations, with the 4-cup variant achieving up to 16 kg payload on non-porous surfaces using 55 mm diameter cups at 80% vacuum, while the per-node limit is 4.5 kg. Suction control and object detection run over Modbus RTU via RS-485, with URCap integration for Universal Robots and support for Techman and OMRON. The pump operates at 64 dB(A) and the unit is rated IP4X, so it is not waterproof and should be dry-cleaned only, which rules out coolant-splash environments. Cup size and bracket are fully configurable using standard G1/4 thread suction cups in 30 mm, 40 mm, or 55 mm diameters. Typical uses include palletizing, packaging, and pick-and-place of boxes, sheets, and other flat non-porous parts.
