maxon EC-max 30 Brushless DC Motor

The maxon EC-max 30 is a 3-phase electronically commutated brushless DC motor in a 30 mm diameter steel housing, part of maxon's cost-optimized EC-max platform that shares the modular parts concept of the A-max and RE-max lines. In the 60 W class it delivers a nominal torque around 60 to 64 mNm at nominal speeds of roughly 6,590 to 8,130 rpm depending on the winding, with a maximum permissible speed of 15,000 rpm. Commutation is handled electronically by three integrated Hall sensors, so the motor works with standard brushless controllers for speed and torque control with no brushes or mechanical commutation wear. The single pole-pair rotor runs on ball bearings rated to 1,300 N radial and 98 N peak axial load, and thermal limits are minus 40 to plus 100 C ambient with a maximum winding temperature of plus 155 C. It is combinable with maxon gearheads, encoders, and brakes and is used in robotics, medical devices, automation, and precision positioning systems.
