The igus drylin E SAW is a turnkey lead-screw linear actuator built on a hard-anodized drylin W aluminum profile rail with a self-lubricating iglide plastic carriage and a stainless-steel trapezoidal lead screw supported at both ends by ball bearings, driven by an integrated stepper motor. It converts motor torque directly into linear carriage travel at a fixed lead per revolution set by the screw pitch, giving positioning repeatability of plus or minus 0.1 mm with no external lubrication needed for the life of the unit. The family ships in three ready-to-connect sizes (SAW-0630 with NEMA 17, SAW-1040 with NEMA 23, SAW-1080 with NEMA 24) whose maximum axial static load ranges from 100 N to 750 N, and every lead screw variant is self-locking for vertical and holding applications. The stepper motor connects via a JST connector and runs from an igus dryve controller (D1, D7, D8, or D9) or any standard step and direction driver at 24 to 48 V DC, with IP40 protection.
